~430/460 to the ground. 11.7 is possible w/ the right driver and conditions. z06's have gone sub 12's as well. vipers trap in the ~120 mph stock.

There is a world of difference in the years ranging between 93-02. The older 93-95 RT/10's were high 12 sec cars stock, 96+ GTS's are high 11's @ 120ish with a driver.

I raced one last summer at the track. Not sure of exact year but it sure looked like a new one. He ran a 12.4, I ran a 12.3. i had 400 hp at the time. he wasnt gaining on me. Depends on driver, as usual.

I saw that run. The viper ran 11.71 bone stock without that much seat time but he's a very good driver. I have seen zo6(bone stock) run sub 12 several times. I think 2 guys have dipped into the 11.7x range bone stock. The viper is actually easier to launch on street tires likely because it heavier in the rear and has much larger/wider tires. It still a drivers race IMO.

I have had 2 Vipers, and in fact my brother in law is trying to sell his right now 1994 RT/10 if anyone is interested. My 93 stock (rated at 400) did 380rwhp stock, and his with exhaust/intake was 401rwhp. The torque was really high though..I don't remember what.

These cars really move, and in fact there really is not much difference at all in the first Gen's (92-95) to 2nd (96-02) Gen's despite their rating. In fact, stock 93-94's have more torque and can beat a stock Gen 2 a lot of the time. ALso, Gen 1's are fully forged, the later Gen 2's are not The best cars for nitrous and FI are 97 and below because of this.

96-97 also have the biggest/best cam.

Thats because with a 3.08 gear and 19" wheels their gearing is horrible. LOL

i raced a 2001 gts from a roll in 1st gear and beat it. i was making 416rwhp at the time. i usually see gts vipers make around 415rwhp. i was probably a better driver.
