Which tq arm setup would be better?
Looking at setting the car up again for drag racing. Which would be better now that I have some other options.
A BMR Extreme duty/spohn setup with dedicated x-member?
Or a factory length tq arm with yank or BMRs trans x-member/tq arm mount?
What would be the gains/losses on each kind of setup. How strong/weak would one be over the other? Car will have a TH400, looking to put it through some ABUSE, its gotta hold the power.
Thanks.
Kyle

Does anyone have any pix of the Madman tq arm especially around the crossmember area? I was under the impression that its pretty darned hard to run any kind of exhaust with this setup. Most ppl just go with a pair of bullets behind the collectors IF that much.

My torque arm has more adjustability than any other one on the market.

Which type would you recommend for the street/strip?

Looks like a monster.....would be the only way to go if it would work with the stock exhaust... I will look into it when the time comes this spring.

If you're wanting something for the street, I wouldn't get a Madman.
Mine mounts pretty similar to the one in the pics, but there are some differences. Nothing that will affect exhaust routing that bad though.
FWIW, my exhaust stops in front of the front wheels, so I didn't have to do any routing.

I have the BMR extreme torque arm [url]www.bmr fabrication.com[url] very pleased with results!!! It all depends on what you want to do with the car, autoxx a short torque arm isn't the best way to go (probably a full lenghth w/a relocation mount would be best) but for drag racing I would run one with a crossmember rather then one that bolts to the floor...my .02
