Ran a Mercedes? I was on my home from work about 2pm on a 4 lane highway when I catch a light and this newer sporty looking silver Mercedes convertible pulls up next to me. I thought for sure if I tried anything that I would get humiliated and the guy was on the phone anyways but then he hangs up. I think well I will just stay passive and follow his lead and if he runs Ill just see If I can hang. Well the light turns green and he takes off pretty fast, well enough that I have to go just shy of WOT to keep up. I didnt want to lay into it because my truck will do that obvious Im trying to race downshift from 3rd to 1st and with the flows its really loud. By the time we reach 40mph I think he then realizes Im trying to keep up and he gooses it and it takes off pretty fast and gets an instant 1.5 car jump before I go WOT. I missed my shift point and my truck fell flat on its face 
but I was able to slow his advance but he is still walking me pretty slowly so I figure what the hell and bump the nitrous 
. Well I shut down his advance reeled him in and walked him pretty good by the time we reached 90 and then shut down. He just hung back behind me for a little while and then I turned off at the next light and he gave me a thumbs up..pretty cool. Im not sure what model or year it was but I expected it to be a lot faster, it looked pretty aggressive. I figure with my setup I should be running high 13's if Im lucky. It kind of looked like the mercedes in the attatchment

Oh, there's lots more.
Either way, good kill! It sounds like you ahd a run in with a new SLK. They are sweet looking cars though! They run low 14's

It really was a sweet car, I dont think it was the faster one or I would have got handed my *** but either way Im sure the guy was like wtf. I have had lots of fun with this nitrous kit and wanted to go all out this year in mods but its back to school before my GI Bill runs out on me so its going to take a little longer.

Runnin Benz's is fun. I beat an AMG SL55 from a roll to 140 one time, the guy didn't look happy. I did have an old man in a S600 try to race me on the freeway once, I'm talking about the old 600 with the 6.4L (I think) in it. He got smoked but was all animated with big smiles and thumbs up when he came back by. It was cool. Of the three I've run, two of them were real cool cats.

One of the best races I've ever had was against an CLK500. Took me till 125mph to finally pull ahead of it.
Benz has some real powerhouses, as well as some real wannabe-poseurs, in their lineup. And all of it is stupid expensive. hah.
For what it's worth, if I had money to blow out my ***, my daily driver would probably be an AMG E55. NICE cars.

I agree, they run mid 12s.
