Default shift kit recomendation

ok guys i know theres been many debates on shift kits, but im still not sure what to go with, so ill start a more focused thread on which shift kit... B&M or trans go... i hear goods and bads from both side, so im hopin this thread will narrow my decision down

With your mods listed, I'd go with a 3000-4000 stall 'verter(I have had a few, had good results w/Vig. 3200. and TCI 3500) Trans-Go kit and 24k cooler.I always use a good Brand name trans fluid as well. not an expert jmho.

Well, I'm sure you've read the rather intemperate current thread on that subject ... I've never heard anyone on this board recommend a B&M shift kit. Transgo has a lot of fans, and there have been a few that like the TCI.

transgo with the cooler (i mounted mine "dope" style- search for directions) is what i was reccomended and what i would reccomend. cannot comment on b&m- only that i've not heard good things about it.

tm may become an issue with a shift kit though, something to think about...

trans go the big kit....and a cooler with a spall fan.
