Like something burnt coming from under the car. A few times has smelled like rotten eggs, cats.

Ha, Ha ,Ha. The burnt smell only happens when I drive the car for a long time then when I shut if off it stinks for a few seconds. Only 3 times has there been a rotten egg smell, but the burnt smell is always there. Sometimes when I drive the car hard a few times it will smell very burnt.

Mine's pretty much always been that way. Moreso with the open cutout. Even with it closed, if I shut it off and walk around back quickly I can smell it. I call it car farts.

You might want to check around for signs of oil leaks. My beater car smells like it's on fire after I get done driving it because of a few minor leaks.

I never got the new car smell in my car because of that smell. That was because a week after i got it I drove over a plastic bag <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> and it got stuck under there and burnt for weeks... <img border="0" alt="[bomb]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />

If not, then it's probably just the smell you get when you drive it hard.

I noticed that smell on different kinds of cars, but it's very minor. Harly noticeable, and I've never smelled it from an ls1, except for a clutch smell.
