Default painted calipers and hubs saturday

I bought one of the caliper paint kits from advance autoparts and decided to paint my calipers red. I cleaned the fenderwells while i was in there, and now it looks great. Here are a few pics. CD2 is the stuff!!!

I agree too. Calipers always look good red but the hub should be "less obvious".

hmm, don't like the red hubs either. Good excuse to get some new drilled/slotted rotors though

sorry man, but it looks very sloppy to me. Need to touch it up a bit and rid yourself of the hub.

1. I painted them red because I wanted to be different.
2. I didn't remove the calipers because i didn't want to have problems with the brake lines leaking.
3. TT2s are on the way in the spring.
4. What little bit that got on the rotors came off the first time I mashed the brakes, so they look perfect now.
5. I am experimenting with different looks, the calipers were black, and the hubs were rusty looking, so I decided to paint them while I was at it.

Dude trust me we're not knockin you.
But everyone got red calipers lol.
As far as removing them go... I didn't mean to take them totally off. I just meant to unbolt them and remove the rotor and pads so you can get just the caliper. I used tie wire to hang them. Just take your time next time brother.

Painting the calipers would be a nice mod, but I cant see taking the time to do it. Ah well, maybe when I re-do the brakes. C5 rotors going up front

I usually clean up the hub and shoot it grey or silver to get rid of the rust and to protect 'em..then hit the caliper with color makes it all clean

Did my calipers in red and hub hats in semi-gloss black. A little more subtle.

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm getting a friend to come down and help me out with em next weekend. I'm gonna go black on the hubs and on the caliper brackets. I'll leave the calipers red. I'll get updated pics in a week.

Not to highjack your thread. But what color are you Arctic white guys going with? I am thinking gloss black for the calipers, and black on the rotors.

i agree, i like the red caliper, but the hub needs to be black like you are going to do. i would also think the inner fender would have looked better black. i painted mine with that black rubberized undercoating stuff, then cleared it, it looks great, doesnt show chips, etc.. and is very durable. i would think that red paint would chip easily and eventually wear off in spots due to the amount of debris is will be getting hit with.

Dang Joe.... I looked at your picks and said " Did I post my pics?" That's exactly what mine look like.
