Default any suggestions to get that 11 sec. slip?

I would love to get that ever elusive 11 second time slip this year. Do you think it's possible with the mods in my sig or some additional (minor) mods? I really don't have the money to do anything too radical ie. headers, gears etc., but does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get a little closer? My best time was lifting at 1000' to avoid a break out and did it anyway! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
P.S. I'll be hitting E-Town for the first EFI race of the year on the 19th, so the air should be nice and cold. Keep your fingers crossed!

that 60 ft is killing you, i would got a pair of slicks or mt drag radials they hook as good as slicks, add a fast toys ram air(good for almost 2 mph on my car) and a cutout, annother mph .that should get you real close. i went 12.18 at 110.5 with just bolt ons and slicks.your mph higher is higher already than mine was, but your 60s have got too come down some, you have the converter too do it, also take off the front sway bar, GOOD LUCK

Yes, more stall and a good set of LTs is critical........ Especially if you want the 11sec slip!

Thanks for the input! I was already planning on checking out a set of the MT Drag Radials, I've heard good things. I don't know if it's gonna help or hurt, but I just installed BMR springs, adjustable panhard rod, non-adjustable torque arm, bolt-in LCA relocation brackets, and Bilstein HD shocks. In addition, I had my tranny rebuilt w/ all the good stuff (hence the little to no budget) and had a custom converter built. If I pump the brakes a little at a stop I can bring the car to about 3600 RPM w/o rolling through the brakes. Hopefully this is worth a tenth or two! Also, the bottle has been a serious concideration as of late b/c of the bang for buck factor. After the EFI race on the 19th I hope to be posting here again, but unfortunately I'm not counting on it.

I'd say you gotta pop for the headers and gears. At least headers. They aren't that expensive...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I'd kinda like to do it w/o juice though. As far as headers go, I'm in New York and we have a visual inspection in addition to an OBD-II scan, so long tubes are out. Would shorties w/ new cats and true duals be of any benifit? How bout a crank pulley or throttle body? I'm grasping at straws here! I am gonna try to do a little tuning though.

Nice time man. I went 12.088 @ 115 full bolt ons with stock TC launching at 1450. I think my 60 was a 1.81x

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and input! I've thought about gears a hundred times, but if I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'll get a 12 bolt which is not an option right now. As far headers go, even with cats on the longtubes, the car will not pass under New York's current inspection program. It's that whole Federal Law thing that says you can't move the catalyst from the factory location. Oh well!

You just gotta find the right guy

No cats are illegal in VA too, but I don't run them. Check out fastls1.com, lotsa NY guys on there who can hook you up...

Get the gears, they are not that expensive if you find a used set. I sold my 3:73 set for $50, $150 to put them in. Big performance boost. I would not run 4:10 on a 10 bolt, teeth are too small...

Gears may very well be on the horizon. I went to E-Town last Sat. and couldn't even hit my best e.t. or mph, did better my 60' though, 1.861! I could only muster a 12.53 @ 109.40. It's gonna take a lot to shave .5 second! I noticed that compared to cars of similar performance, mine seems to come on at the top end. I'm a newbie to tuning and was trying to play with the computer a bit, so I think that's what hurt. Oh well!
