Default FRCs for sale

Hey guys/gals,

I'm going to be installing some tall valve covers on my car, which makes my custom fuel rail covers obsolete. So if anyone wants a pair of red Trans Am fuel rail covers, I'll make you a deal. $75 (I paid almost $400 2 years ago)

You will want to replace the TA emblems, which is fairly cheap & easy. They stick on. You can order the black TA door emblems from the dealer. I think I paid $30 for a pair. And you can get the chrome overlays from Afterthoughts Auto for $25. So you'd be into these for less than 1/2 what they are new.

Lemme know if you're interested....

Mark

What kind of vlave covers are you going to mark? Is this just a cosmetic change or are you putting a solid roller setup in?

I sold my frc's on ebay awhile ago for like $75-$100, and they don't sound near as nice as yours.....might be able to make a little more money on them if no one wants to pick them up locally.

Solid roller? ME?! I haven't caught that disease from you yet Jason.

No, I've decided that instead of doing a catch can to try to band-aid my oil consumption issue since I've installed the cam & bigger rocker arms, I'd try to make it go away. So I'm getting Nasty's tall sheet metal covers with a breather cap in lieu of the PCV tubes.

And they WILL be pretty too. Powder coated red with polished coil brackets.

Maybe next year I'll do heads & a solid roller. This year all I might do after the tranny is a wheel / tire setup like yours. If I spin my 8" QTPs with the stall, the lighter wheels with more traction just might get me into the 11s.

I was think the same thing just block off the intake vacume port and then intall breathers on both valve covers. It is true what they say great minds do think alike.

So will you be relocating the coil packs? BTW that is a steal for those covers! Wish I had a TA for a moment and would buy them, lol. Any links to pics of the new covers?

I will also be driving through Saturday a couple times if that is better, but I prefer tomorrow. PM me or give me a call, cell is 425-344-6646

I wondered about that. Thanks for the heads up. Guess this means I will need to make it so I can easily change it back for the test, eh? Which I figured I'd have to do for EGR if I deleted it. Although if Boyce's car can pass....and as long as I dont' have any codes set, I think it will pass. Technically, I think they can fail me for having headers. Maybe I need to move to Monroe.

Yep, just an OBDII scan... they don't even pop the hood. Not like they'd know what it is they were looking at if they asked you to pop the hood anyways.
