Default Anyone know who makes/sells these caps.

I saw this camaro at a car show last year and it had the best looking caps I've ever seen on an F-body. She said she had them custom made but I've just recently seen a picture (can't remember where??) of a black corvette with these same caps. If anyone has any info on these at all I'd really appreciate it.

If they're factory Corvette FRC's, then the "CORVETTE" script is formed into the plastic. There's no scraping that off. To get rid of it, you have to fill it in. I left it on my 'bird's FRC's because I'm a Chevy guy at heart.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get over these since I saw them last year. The power steering resevoir cover even has a built in belt cover. I would love to have this whole set-up.

i talked to MBA well over a year ago about making those covers on the ps pump and the tcs thing (is that what that is on the pass. side?) they said they were going to look into it. however, i agree that the billet ones they make don't look as good as these. WHO MAKES THOSE??????

I have caps very similar to those on my 2K WS6. I bought the MBA polished caps, had them chromed, and then had the guy that does all my decals make me an exact dupilcate of the logo on each cap out of 'frosted' vinyl - the lettering looks as if etched onto the caps.

Those are sold by a vette parts shop.. saw them on www.corvetteforum.com

She was full of if she said she had them custom made.. you can buy them like that.

Just like the MBA pieces but they have laser engraving on them..

And since they were made for Vettes they are VERY expensive

Nice though..

if I remember correctly, her story was that they had her car for like a year while they hand made off of those pieces, as well as painted and detailed various parts of her engine.

Just because there aren't items that are specifically made for your car doesn't mean you can't have them.

It's just going to be a little more trouble on your part to have them. Getting the PS Res. chromed is no problem - already had it done to mine - you just have to have a plater that knows how to do plastic.

The caps - as I stated I had mine done, look every bit as good as the ones made specifically for the vette.

Alot of people just aren't willing to go the xtra mile to have something done custom - they like the look, but want someone to hand it to them on a plate?

I don't personally have a lot of time for polishing & such - so I find someone who does, and pay them to do what I need. Steve, on the other hand likes to do most of his 'bling' work personally (at least I think he does). In the end, the cars that win at the shows are the ones that have custom items that you can't just buy off the shelf like a thousand other people.

This was the link to those caps....they were all laser engraved and all very expensive!..... www.designspec.com/c5/c5prices-b.htm (Link no longer works though)

if I remember correctly, each one was in the $75 to $100 range hince why I went with plain ones from MBA.....but they are very nice......

here was the picture I saved to my hard drive from that link, they had alot of expensive high end, dress up stuff for the C5's....custom air brushed hood blankets, full chrome engine covers....stuff like that......

I did want these real bad at one time.....I should have just sucked it up and spent the cash................

I can't seem to fnd any dealer selling these so far, if anyone knows, chime on in!....
