Default car doesnt want to fire on first try

ok i just put a fuel pump in and the wiring from racetronix. the car runs good but when i try to start up the car, it acts like it doesnt want to and then it will fire really fast. the starter is turning it over a lot more than before before it she fires up.

only thing i can think of is the ground isnt grounding out good enough. all the battery connections are tight and i have the ground on the passenger strut tower and the others are relocated by the bottom of the battery. should i just put it with the others? would that help out? any ideas?

i just went out and checked it all and everything seems to be pretty damn tight, i dont know what the deal is here?! any help would be great. i didnt know where i should have posted this becuase it could be fueling or the grounding, so hopefully ill get some help in here.

i used the supplied battery screws with the kit and poped the others out, should i try and put the factory ones back in and just put the hook ups on the back side? or will that not work good?

This is not an electrical problem so leave the wiring alone.
This has something to do with retaining pressure in the system.
You need a fuel pressure gauge to properly diagnose this problem.

thats what racetronix said, any idea?

racetronix is saying it could be injectors which they are fine, fuel pressure reg. which that is fine. or the check valve in the pump, so i guess im gonna have to go and drop the damn tank again and yank out the fuel pump, what a bitch

Put a fuel pressure gauge up front....turn the key to the on position and the fuel pressure should come up to 60 psi or so for about two seconds. You will then hear the pump quit and pressure drops to 40 psi and should hold that for some time...its a check valve I believe and its there to hold fuel pressure during start so pressure is available immediately. This is one possibilty.

My car does this too.

Does it have any codes? SES light on?

no codes but i just went and pushed the schrader valve in and there was absolutely no pressure in the rail, usually i will have some kinda gas shoot out even if the car hasnt run for a day or 2, this time i had nothign and it was just a few hours.
