Default Front bumper center black plastic removal

Trying to figure out how to remove that frickin black plastic in the middle of the front bumper. Do I need to remove the plastic push pins that fasten the front bumper on the underside? I didn't want to yank on it and rip it out. Thanks for any help. I'm sure this is one old topic, just now decided to take it off.

Just yank that SOB out, it won't hurt the bumper, just held on with push clips, if you want to save the stock cover than be careful, if not just start at one side and heave ho!

I pulled the pins out, didn't wanna mess up the SS grill in case i wanted to put it back. It's kind of a bitch to pull the pins, but u can put some electrical tape around end of a flathead screwdriver and needlenose pliers. Then just work the pins out, saves the grill and pins from damage.

Yeah, i would be nicer with the SS grille, but i think that those at least look decent, the stock one looks like hell.

Thanks. I already cracked one side pulling on it with some force. I reckon I'll yank it off.

It is bolted on from the back on the top and has clips that hold it at the bottom. The right way, sadly, is to remove the bumper cover.
