Default Z06 Wheels on the Z28

Here are Eric's old wheels on my car... I gotta say, I do like them better than the SS wheels I had on before.

The tires are 295/35/18s in back, 265/40/17s up front. In the last pic, you can see my new Spohn 25mm sway bar, in case anyone's interested.

The rear tires are damn close to the inner fender... had to pound on it with the BFH, especially on the driver side. Still isn't enough room to get my fingers between the inner fender and the tire, but so far no rubbing after the first test drive.

Yes, I know the car is dirty... but what else is new.

Wow! That looks great. I am glad they fit. As for clearance did you put your finger back there with it jacked up? If you did once you lower it the clearance will increase.

Do you have an adjustable PHB? If not you need to look into one. There should be the same amount of distance between fender and tire on both sides.

Those do look good on the car. I never realised Eric sold his wheels. What were the replacements?

No, that was with the car on the ground... couldn't get fingers behind the tires.

Yep, I do have an adjustable PHB, so I'll have to do a little adjusting to get it to center... feels like it's about a half inch off center.

Thanks for the compliment. Z06s are what I wanted originally, just couldn't afford them new.

Eric got some chromies on his car... looks really sharp with that blue color.

The guy that bought mine used a spacer on the rears to move them out a little bit. Just thought I'd let you know. He had a red WS6 I think they look better on the F-bodies than the vettes, although it took awhile to get used to my Bling wheels

If they made them In a 17X10.5 or 11 I would have a crome set for my car

18s are to spendy and do not hook very well on my car

they are spendy, especially when buying new... I would never have been able to buy a set if I didn't buy them from Eric. He gave me a very good deal on them.

Thanks! I'm thinking a 1/8" spacer would do the trick... I think the only reason I'm not rubbing now is that I'm pretty much at stock ride height. If I were lowered even an inch, I'm sure they'd rub.

But I'm not even rubbing in a mildly quick turn (didn't try much more than that since it was starting to rain), so I guess the SLP Bilstein/Eibach combo along with the bigger rear sway bar is keeping the body from leaning that 1/4" or so into the wheel.

yeah, I was holding out for a free set too... but I settled on Eric's since free was pretty much the next step down in price.

Speaking of Steves, pay attention to your bumps stops on the rear end, especially on the side with clearance issues. His were rubbing on the inside of his 18s.

Damn, I thought I noticed that the wheels were different on Eric's Z06 this weekend.
