Default Best Launch Technique for Basically Stock M6 Cars

I was wondering how other M6 guys/gals get their best launches on near stock cars. I went to the track Saturday for the first time ever and my best 60' time was 2.25 . I was launching at 2K RPM's and feathering the clutch to minimize spin. I just wanted to know what the best technique for my current setup would be? Please note I am still on stock tires as well. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Drive around the water box, do a light spin on the tires and ease the clutch out at 1500 - 2000 rpm. No need to heat stock radials. Get some drag radials and try that for better 60' times.

Yeah I thought about driving around the water box because I know that heating up the Goodyears is pretty much worthless. I'll try that next time. Any other ideas from anyone? Also, is 1.9-2.0 attainable on street tires with a lot of practice?

I lowere the rear pressure to 22 psi. Go around the water box & do a small burnout to dust off the tires. rev to 1200 rpm and dump the clutch as I mash the gas 2.0 60' on stock tires every time. I just bought Nitto's, so we will see how that goes soon.

It takes getting use too but I would do a quick 1K slip as I accelerate and bring the clutch up quick and then hammer down at the same time.It took a while to master it but even after the nittos I used the same technique with more RPM to keep the 10 bolt alive.I usually got 2.0 but never 1.9X on street tires and low 1.8 and a few 1.79's on nittos.

I have friend that goes off of idle. He does a simultaneous switch lets the clutch out and mashes the gas for consistent 2.0's.

I wish I could do this, last weekend at the track all I would do is wheel hop with the PSI around 19-20. I guess I need LCA's and relocation brackets.

On my totally stock Trans Am, I would rev the engine to 2000 to 2500 rpm.Start letting the clutch out but let it slip a bit to keep the engine from bogging. You usually want to get a very slight squeak from the tires and the clutch should be all the way out by the 60ft mark. I found this worked to get me some 1.80 60fts and 12.80s-12.90s at the track. It took a lot of practice to get it right. I usually just heat the tires enough to clean them off.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll try out some of these other techniques next time I'm at the strip.

I pulled a 1.85 feathering the clutch from ~2500 on stock tires. I spun too, not too much though.

I found that the best technique for me was to rev to about 1K and dump the clutch when the light goes green and mash the gas as soon as you feel the car start to move. I didn't really get any wheel spin, but the car bogged a little. I have about 6 slips where I cut a 2.0X on the stock goodyears. This was before the 231/237 cam too.
