Is a 3500+stall and 373s a good combo?

Lower gears(higher numerically) are a two sided issue.
First, they don't need as high of a stall to perform well with the same given setup.
Second, they make a higher stall feel tighter.
Basically, the big advantage to gears is that they let you get away with a bigger stall while maintaining streetability. It really depends on what you want out of your setup which way you should go. Lower gears will make the converter feel tighter around town. They will also make the converter stall slightly lower in most cases.
Oersonally, I say YES. They make a great combo.

your only problem will be hooking up. i like the highway gears and a big stall- KILLER on the street w/drag radials.
now, if you are going to go all out and throw some slicks on there, maybe even a rear, or go camm'd then definetly get the gears.
