Post headers frm 98-99 fit 2000 + ls1 f-cars !!

hi guys.
I read an article on HOTROD mag. about installing a 98-99 ls1 f-car hooker headers on a later f-car. mag discribes the simple free mod done to the headers. wondering if anybody done this or know who has done it?how simple is the mod? diff. is header is for an ls1 w/ egr. but, by bending the tube (heated) 90 deg it can be connected to electric air-injection pump. HOOKER catalog says its PN 2253-1HKR headers will only fit 98-99 f-cars , Morgan motorsports found some simple tricks to make them work on later cars as well. go to HOTROD.com ,technical articles and look for "HEADERS AND A Y-PIPE FOR LS1 F-CARS" . price would be the main thing here. found the article on spring 2004 " BEST OF TECH" HOT LS1 ENGINE TECH. carcraft mag. going to try this but, wanted to know if anybody heard of this.
thanks

98-02 headers will fit any year as long as there are no emissions fittings. If you want to use 98-99 style in an 00-02 with emissions, you need to find a set of 98-99 style AIR tubes. Other than that, they are the same.

You would also want to cap off the EGR tube on the
early headers. You can get blockoff kits or make your
own plates & gaskets.
