Ya, you can tell the guys on the video are probably ricers. Hell, they can't stop laughing and making fun of the guys car.....probably because they are jealous they'll never be able to own one, so they have to make fun of the guy.

Fugging ricers with no respect to a "REAL" car. Bragging that their 14.1 friend beat a Vette on spray. The Vette blew up, a chase is a race but show some respect. I really didn't like the dude saying "That's awesome" like 3 or 4 times. They need their car to blow up on them, then some a$$hole tell them that that was "Awesome".

There is a story behind it. The end result is that the track officials did the right thing. Apparently the nitrous bottle was continuing to discharge for awhile. Reasons why they didn't move to put it out earlier:
1) Number one priority: driver safety
2) Nitrous may not be flammable, but it is an accelerant. They didn't want to waste the extinguishers before the nitrous ran out and be unable to stop it.
I have read two long threads about this incident, one of them had the owner of the car, a firefighter and at least one track official in it. Consensus was that the officials did the right thing.
Oh yeah, those camera guys need a few swift kicks in their nuts....and then some.

Ha, you've got to be really dumb to think that the track officials would go sprinting up to the car when it's full of fuel. I don't blame them for taking their time.
