Default 12 bolt is noisy on decel anyone ever try the lucus 80/90 fluid?

i got my 12 bolt used and it is really noisy on decel and so i put some lucus 80/90 non-syn gear oil in there but i have not driven it yet

it says that its saposed to quite things down some but want to know if anyone else has used it?

and it says that it does not need posi additive but sould i add it anyway?

thanks

You could always pack it with say dust.

It's all in the set up, changing the oil will not help.

It is a coast gear noise, it is common in high numerical gear ratio's. Has it gotten louder or changed?
Your not gonna get stock rear silence out of it.

I had 3:42's put in and they do the same thing. Must be ok, cause I ran ET CC drags all summer last year and no problems. I added Royal Purple after the break in and it whined less, but is still there.

You don't need additive with the Lucas. I used to run that oil-pretty neat oil. Just got a new diff and bought some Royal Purple this time.
