Firehawk vs WS6

Firehawk vs WS6
Went to Autozone today to pick up some car wash soap, and what do I see in the parkinglot, a 96? Firehawk, went in got my stuff and came out, the owner was standing at the door talking to AZ manager, he started asking about my WS6. He starts talking **** about how his 'hawk would blow me off the road how they're so much better than the "regular " Trans Ams blah blah blah, so satisfy my curiosity who would win?
Him: 96? Firehawk, bone stock, M6, 315 hp (at least that's what the numbers on his hood said) BTW he needed to wash it it was black and absolutely filthy
Me: 02 WS6, lid, catback (TSP Rumbler), M6
I did offer to run him, but he "didn't want to embarass me"

Actually, it could still be close, depending on driver skill. Some LT1s pull well down low, so unless you run a full 1/4 mile, it can be surprisingly close. But all things equal, you should have him by a few lengths.
But when a retard says stuff like that to you, you just got to shake your head at him and say "you obviously don't know your cars and engines very well, do you?", and then drive away. Even if you don't run him, he'll be standing there doubting himself. Take him down a few notches without wasting your gas.

It would have been a contest until you hit about 4000 RPMs or so, and it would have been over from there. LT1s pull pretty hard down low, but lose steam up top. I've only raced one, and he didn't fare too well at all, and I was stock with only a Diablo canned tune.

No, the Lt4 would get smoked. My best friend has an Lt4 Anniversary 97 SS Camaro and the best time he could pull was 13.2@104mph. I raced him at the same track in gulf port miss and beat him by a car lenght in my 01 WS6 A4 13.01@106 when I was bone stock.

the lt1s are quick out of the hole....i raced my brothers at the track...but when i hit second gear it was bye-bye so long sianara sucker...he had a better 60 foot, but my 1/8th mile was still better. i put a bus on him and i beat him by like .7-.8 tenths of a second on near stock rides...way to really demoralize that guy...roll from about 40 and see whats up what a jackass
