f14 cam too much??
I have heard so many great things about the f14 cam and was wondering if it was too much for a A4 trans am with 3.42 gears that does alot of highway driving. It is drivin everyday and i dont want to be surging or bucking in the car EVER the car will be tuned by jeremy furnado. If anybody has an opinion please speak there mind I want to buy a cam already and just dont know what to do

With those gears, and also considering the fact that it's a daily driver and you want NO surging at all (from the sound of it), you might want to go a little smaller, like a F13 on a 114.
I have the F14 114 (went with this over the 112 since I'm a full-weight A4) in my weekend car. Although it's very streetable, in my opinion I would not want it in a daily driver. And you will get surging at low rpm. I get it around 1300 rpm or so. Not something you'd run into on the freeway, but it becomes apparent when tooling around residential streets.
You can't argue with the power, though. I put down 387 rwhp through an unlocked (and very loose for it's size) converter on a conservative dyno Torque curve was very flat, also.

Yea i think im leaning towards the f13. You were right i do not want any surging and i want it to be very nice to drive everyday. I dont mind a sweet sound or a loud lope as long as it doesnt stall out and it doesnt surge thats my only concerns.

I daily drove my old Z with a F13, 3.42s and a 3K converter. If it is tuned right then you won't have any surging at all.
