Default 408 guys????

Well, it looks like I am buying a 408 nitrous motor. My question is for you 408 guys...what kind of intake are you running? Will the LS6 intake be good enough or are you guys running the Fast setup with the bigger TB?

the LS6 intake will work fine but of course it is gonna be a lil restrictive for a motor with big cubes.. but it wont hurt anything if you wanted to use the LS6 until you could buy a Fast 90/90. just expect to see a BIG change in numbers when you do the swap.

90/90 here.
I dont see the point of droping 7+ thousand dollars on a 408 with stage 3 heads, and going cheep on the intake and TB.
Just my oponion.
We spend 2000++ dollars on heads to get a extra 40-50 horse power, kinda the same thing as spending 1100 for 20-25 horse power.

Depends on your goals. If you are 7000 and below I'd say the FAST is the way. If you are over with heads that flow to .700-.800 then a sheet metal or gmpp may be the way to go. I'm going with a gmpp myself.

I was originally going to run my DP LS6 intake on my 408, but couldn't see spending the money on motor that needs more air, and not give it to it. I found a 90mm LSX on E-bay for just over $700, and went with a NW TB. Your motor will still run great with the LS6 intake, but it will run better with the 90/90.

That is what I figured. Don't get me wrong, I know that Fast will make it run alot better..I was just curious how the LS6 would do until I can get the Fast setup. Thanks guys. Any of you guys solid roller?
