Is it blown?

Is it blown?
I have a 2000 SS with 43000 miles, I rescently installed a 75 shot wet kit on it, When I first put it on I only had 3 lbs. left in the bottle so I didn't have very good bottle pressure but the kit worked great. I got the bottle filled and the car started sputtering past 5000 rpm's. I tried it about 5 times, never holding it for more than 2 sec. after it started sputtering. I drove my car around for about an hour after the last time I hit it and never noticed a drop in oil pressure untill I stopped in my driveway, It was only holding about 15 lbs of pressure and would raise when I gave it some throttle. I shut it off, let it sit for 5 min., checked the oil, it was fine, started it up and now have no oil pressure at all!!! Not even if I rev it a little. Please let me know what you think.

Put a mechanical gauge on the engine, start it back up and check the pressure. If you have no pressure even with a mechanical gauge, shut it down and get a stiff drink. About the only other thing you can check with the engine in the car is the oil pump. Any bearing checks will require the engine to be pulled. Sorry dude, does not sound good so far.
But look at the bright side, if it is toasted, this gives you an excuse to build a bad *** stroker motor. Thats the way I look at it when I bust my stuff, chance to make it better

You said you had only 3 pounds of juice at the time? What is your bottle fill weight? If it did not have enough pressure, it might have washed alot of gas past the rings and thind out the oil. I dought it but what does the oil smell like? If it smells funny, change it and the filter and start it up. Check the pressure, shut it off if it does not instantly come up.

I said when I first installed the kit I only had about 3 pounds of Juice left and I had no problems, after I got it filled it sputtered past 5 grand. The oil smells normal and looks clean. I would love to be able to slap a new pump in and go but what's the chances of the motor already being hurt? I would hate to spend the $$$ and the time to change the pump and it still be junked out. I have only started it 2 times with no oil pressure and I immeadiatly shut it off both times.
Thanks

If you get a good pump and try it and it does not fix it, then you will already have it for the new motor. It is easier to do that then jurk the engine. I would look into the pump before I pulled the engine. Did you get to hook up a mechanical gauge yet? The factory gauge or sending unit might still be the problem.

get the new pump dude even if the motor is blown u still have great new pump for the new one. the cost is not that bad oil pump, fromt main gasket, do the lavor ur self it wont take more that like 2 hours and thast if u have never even seen an engine before, and it should come out to no more that like $200.

I am hoping that the pump will cure it, like I said when it was idleing it had 15-20 pounds of oil pressure but when I shut it off and then startrd it back up it had none at all. I started it up one more time after that and immeadiatly shut it back off. What do you guys think?
