Default Should I advance or retard my cam timing?

I am running the TSP Majic Stick 3. It is set straight up 0 right now. I am only making 372 rwhp locked up and 349 unlocked. The power curve steadely climbs up without nose diving down anywere. I have a minor idle issue when it is warming up. The car has been tuned. I am thinking of going into the front end to shim the pump so I can change the cam timing at that time. Do you think I should change it? What will it do? How will it help? How much should I change it? My dyno runs are on disk, as soon as I figure out how to post it I will. Please keep in mind I also run NO2. I am trying to achieve 400 rwhp without the juice. I just think for my combo, it is way low, and I think if I pulled it past 7000 rpm it would continue to climb, which makes me think I need to change the cam timing to bring that power down to the rpm level I am running.

Watch out for PTV if you advance the magic stick.
Seems like a set of heads would definitly get over 400. TSP has good deals on PRC's

So do you think changing the cam timing will make it make the power I want and help the idle?

I don't think it will make signifcantly more power, all it will do is move wher the peak power is made in the rpm range. Doesn't this cam already have advance ground into it?

Advancing it will move your powerband lower into the RPM range, but like Predator-Z said you have to watch for PtoV clearance issues.

I could make ~ 10+/- more HPs, as far as the idle, it will make it worse. Prolly will make it peak ~200 rpm sooner.
But like I said you need to dial this in with an indicator.

I just got off the phone with John at TSP and asked him about it. He does not recomend it on my aplication due to Valve to Piston Clearence problems. SO I will not change it any. Thanks for the input guys.

Sounds like a plan. Your numbers really are pretty good for a big cam on stock heads. Get those AFR's in your wish list and you should see some really good gains with that cam you are running.

You made 349 rwhp with the magic stick through an unlocked TCI? Hey, I am glad to see that. I only made 343 rwhp with mine running the MS3 through an unlocked SSF3500. (LS1 intake and no pulley)
I suppose your power peaked at the same place unlocked vs locked? Mine was messed up and dropped off just under 6k. Hoping the LS6 intake/retune fixes things. (assuming speed get an intake by friday to put on it........)
But hey, you made 373 rwhp unlocked...I was wondering what I would theoretically make if I locked the converter but nobody could really tell me. Thanks.
