Default Hurst vs. Aftermarket?

I have a factory hurst in my M6 '02 WS6. How much difference would an aftermarket shifter make?

worth the price?

what do most people have around here, along with a price. thanks!

a pro5.0 is by far my favorite shifter. aftermarket shifters have built in shift stops, where the factory hurst doenst. you could screw up your tranny tunnel by leaving in the factory unit.
the price is $180.

I just bought a UMI short stick and the stock hurst shifter and it was about 35 dollars best mod I have done yet. I would try a short stick and see how you like that before you spend the 150 dollars on the actual shifter.

alot of us run a B&M ripper that drag race out cars, i love it, i know a few that race with the hurst also, you just have to try each and see what suites you better, i hate the hurst compared to mine they shift different, some people feel just oposite.

The T56 has built in stops. No need for any in the shifter itself.

When i ordered my WS6 in 2000 I ordered the Hurst shifter package it cost me $250.00 option GM smoked my ***, The shifter look good but was very spungy so i put a Pro 5.0 in with the spring mod. and i will never change it .I love it, never mist a gear especialy 3rd gear.

I just put in a pro 5.0 and it does not feel much different than the Hurst, it fells like it locks into gear more solidly kind of like I am hitting the stop even though I know I'm not.
Other than that not much difference IMO.
