They have yet to build a GT that can keep up with a stock LS1.

supposedly the new GT auto does a 13.7. Thats about what i run, but like with most mustangs, we dominate them more above 100

I was told that the new mustangs would spank us in the 1/4 mile because they weigh alot less. I don't know if its true or not, just something I've heard

I ran two 05s from a dig before my headers and ORY. Both races ended with me a car to a car and a half ahead at 100mph. They wont spank anything in the 1/4.
Not to mention the fact that they are heavier than the previous Gts.

Default Gto=cool Gt=still slow

Has anyone noticed That gt are about Equal to the v6 F-body's
The 05 Gt runs a 13.9 1/4 mile not bad Havn't raced one yet, Damn *****'s.
now the new GTO are cool, look ok and run good. I raced one bout a month ago and he ran a 13.7@102 Which ain't bad he said he was stock
But i love my Formula to much to ever Trade it in or anything. The Gt does weigh like 3400 to are 3600 I heard The gt are less those are close guess's

Remeber F-body Mustang just not fair lol, nah some are ok i have a buddy that spanks me all the time with his Fox box . The new ones will start to pop up at the tracks more ofter and Then i'll be forced to give em some

Gt equal to V6 f-bodies? Little exaggeration there....the new GT's run about what a GTO does, which is just slightly slower than an LS1 F-body.

my uncle just brought his new gt home last week. We were suppose to have a couple little runs, but after my baby got totaled it wont get to happen. Hes sure that he will take me, we'll just have to wait until I find another LS1. I do have to admit that I really like the new stang. Everything except for the wheels and the gts driving lights. Does anybody know what they are puttin down at the wheels?

If he is sure that he can take you play magazine racer and compare what magazine editors run in the mustangs vs when they ran LS1 F-bodies. Or look at what stock to near stock cars on here run vs the members of mustang boards with the new cars.

wow this is a much debated topic. stock for stock f-body still edges out the mustang in 1/4. but they take well to bolt-ons just like the ls1. havent seen any at the track, but for what its worth with just a lid and a catback i took a 5 speed 05 from a 30 hit. had about a car or so around 80.

My buddy ran a stock 05 Mustang GT Auto. against his 01 Z28 A4 w/ Hooker Catback, SLP FlowPac, SLP MAF, and some Y2K 17x8.5's wrapped in BFG KDWS's. He had him by a few car lengths, and it only was up to 90. Kept pulling away. They are quick that is for sure..they really need the right drivers thouhg.

I haven't had the chance to run one yet (nice looking cars), but have seen a bunch race the 1/4. I'm assuming they were all in stock trim. I think the best time I was one run was low 14's (14.3-14.4). Not very impressive if you ask me! Stock F-bodies are capable of running mid 13's bone stock!

if by edge you mean 2-4 carlength average i would agree with you....as for responding well to bolt-ons I have heard the exhaust on those is pretty good from the factory, so a cat back won't do too much

especially if youre an auto with 3.23s

hope your talking about the 04 gto's because the 05 gto's run high 12's to low 13's and trap between 107-110
