Default Taking ground effects off your T/A

Has anyone here done this to his or her T/A? Would it look better or worse? How much weight would come off?

I wouldnt do that.......side moldings are one thing, but the bottom ground effects just wouldnt look right. The front clip would look outta place, as well as the rear bumper. The ground effects are only under the doors, they are molded on the front clip and rear bumper. Doubt they even weigh that much, anyway try a photoshop.

If you remove them, your going to have to find a body shop to fill in all the holes, and repaint that ****.

I can tell you that it does look wierd on LT1 TA's, since I replaced mine when they got cracked (still not sure how it happened), and I could only imagine it would look worse on an LS1 TA. And like what has already been said, you will have a bunch of little holes running down your rocker panel. The ground effects only weigh about 5 pounds a piece, if that, so I don't think looking dumb is worth the weight loss. But that's just me .

What i meant to say was the ground effects you can actually remove are under the door, while the front clip and rear bumper have it actually molded to it instead of bolting on like traditional GFX.

I agree, they blend with the bumper, leave em alone or change your bumpers with it.
