New best tonight...
Well I made it to the track today...
I had a great time and made some good passes. I was leaving off-idle and rolling into the throttle in order to maintain traction since I was running the Nittos (@ 30# even).
Even with the really soft launches I managed:
60' = 1.961
330' = 5.083
1/8 = 7.583 @ 98.53mph
1000'= 9.727
1/4 = 11.522 @ 125.59mph!!
Made a bunch of runs at over 125mph, the car seems to be very consistent. The IATs were about 110 MAX. Thats 50F lower than before.
I did run into a few problems, however.
1. I need to work on a better PCV system.
2. The Oil seal in the turbo is DEAD. I was killing mosquitos all the way home from the track. Looks like I am either going to invest in a new Turbo or have this one rebuilt.
Fun, Fun

Those are some impressive numbers, Ryan. Sorry to hear about those poor mosquitos. With a better pvc and new turbo ($$$) you should be knocking on 10s. (Of course the weight of the cage will probably knock you back into the 11s.)

I was fortunate enough to witness this run! My jaw had to be picked up from my wife.................LOL. Someone needs a roll bar Can you say 10's.......... Sad to say he had to take it easy on his runs to keep it slower than 11.49 ET's. I would love to see that car unleashed!!! Nice runs man. Great to meet you as well

Nice Ryan! That is one fast car. That is insane rolling off at idle and putting downa 11.55
Were you using the snow kit and spraying or was the intercooler alone lowing the temps? How much boost were you running?

My intake air temperature is measured before the Water/meth injection point so I can't see the drop in temps due to it. But I could definately feel the difference. I used just under a quart of windshield washer fluid yesterday.
The boost is still the same 10-11# I have been running, and the timing is only set at 16 degrees. The AFRs were in the 11.0 range all day.

I wish I had been out early enough to see your runs. Sound like the new parts work pretty good!
As it was I made it out late because, after I thought about it, I didn't really want to sit around all day waiting for three runs on the big meet Saturday when I could click off two or three much quicker on Friday night.
I would have liked to have talked too but I figured out that I could make a run, drive out the gate and get the IAT temps down to 108 or so and then hurry to the staging lanes and flip the hood open with the fans on high and hold about 110 IAT's in the lanes. If I stopped and turned it off right after a run they shoot to 135 or so and won't fall until I get good airflow across the cooler.
This solution to my IAT creep made for "rude" behavior on my part. I'll see you next time with more time to relax!

Kick ***, Turbo Tech rebuilt my Turbo today. Pretty sweet, they did it while I waited and did it for a REALLY sweet price! Looks like I had some grit in the oil go through the Turbo.
Also, on my way home I picked up a few gallons of straight Methanol...

That's great news, Ryan. I am glad you did not need a new turbo, and it's cool that they stood behind their product enough to fix it while you waited.
I'm ready for my ride now, Mr. Methanol.
