Default crane 1.8:1

I'm thinking about running a comp 216/220 .525/.532 114 lsa, with the crane 1.8:1 rockers, 918's, etc. I'm wondering if the rockers will work with that cam and springs under the stock valve covers?

Any input on expected performance?

I've got stock heads w/ls6 intake, and stock exhaust manifold, high flow cats and exhaust.

Thanks for the input!

Fits the stock covers and the performance is as advertised.

They'll work just fine with that cam and the 918s should definitely be up to the task. Yes, they'll fit under your stock valve covers. I'd expect to see 10-15 rwhp gains, a quieter valvetrain, and no picking needle bearings out of your oil pan with them.

well, assuming he has a 98 as his board name suggests, you'll need to clearance some spots on the valve cover. you will not need spacers ortaller valve covers though.

On my 99 we had to remove the baffling to clear. But the AFR heads seem to like the fit quite nice. Quiet valvetrain.

I have the same question. Does anyone else have any more input on specific modifications necessary to run the crane 1.8 roller rockers with 98 heads/valvecovers?

I looked through instruction sheet and it states that some trimming of baffles or light grinding may be necessary for proper fitment on early ls1's. try contacting crane or vhp, all great people, more than willing to help. hope this helps
