I'm in the middle of a cam install and I installed an LS2 timing chain. The chain has about a 1/2" movement. I thought I read on this site that that much movement is ok, but I can't find that post anywhere. Can anyone confirm that this much movement is ok?
Thanks,
Jim

I just installed a LS2 chain on a guys car this weekend. First problem I noticed is that you MUST have the chain on the bottom gear when you tighten the oil pump down. I did not and it got wedged in there. Had to loosen the pump to get the chain to move. You do not need to do this on a LS1 chain.
This one fit exactly like a LS1 chain. Not too lose, not too tight. In fact, I am now going to use one on my motor. It's a beefy sucker.
