Bolt up some slicks, run from a dig, and hope he still is trying to launch on the irs. I'm guessing you two are fairly close in power. Looks like whoever gets out of the hole the best is gonna be the champ, but there's only one way to find out, move the race off the bench. Get some vid too.

i think you should smoke him. you got some good mods. whats your RWHP??
last saturday, i called out a guy from the svtperformance site. he made 465rwhp and ran a best of 11.4@119 at a not so fast track (quaker city ohio). we went 6 times, 1st and 2nd gear rolls there were a couple races when we'd go from 1st that i would pull him some in 1st& 2nd but then he'd missed a gear and it was over. other than that it was a damn close races....pretty much dead even the entire time from the 2nd gear rolls.
i got this all on video but have no idea how to post it so if anybody wants the video ill send it to them and they can post it.

Unless the Cobra has done some mods to lighten it up, your C5 should have at least a 400lb weight advantage. That will help you out some.

You should take him since he really needs a 40 RWHP advantage to overcome the weight difference. However, anything can happen on the street, ANYTHING.

ill race him with my eyes closed if i had the mods you got. i used to give 460rwhp cobras a hard time with my cam only camaro ss. do a 1st gear roll at about 30mph and make sure you have good traction and trust me he will not reel you in with the kind of mods you got. if you know how to drive good i am willing to put money on the line that you will win.

ps if the cobra has 470rwhp, you can't exactly call it a slowbra.

i beat a cobra with a spposed 470 rwhp when i had just lid, headers, open borla and a 125 shot...only by about 1/2 car, but a kill is a kill

If you go from a 30 roll and he's smart enough to go in 2nd gear, he'll walk you most likely (torque down low).

I just raced a 04 slowbra at the drag strip. He clams 508rwhp. 15psi pulley, exhaust, subfram, big axle's, and no right head light. He pulled 12.37@115.00. I got him with my 12.36. I have stock heads and cam. If I had your mods I would put money on it. WARNING. Do not race at a 60mph roll. Those cobras have amazing top speed. From a dig, put a fork in him he's done.

I dont see how with good drivers in both cars that the camaro ls1 will win. My bud makes 464 hp in his 03 cobra and sux at driving and got a 12.1 @ 118. It is true that anythign can ahppen but with a difference liek the 2 cars have it will be tough to find that lucky chance. GL though man
