Might have a big problem...
I was installing my crank pulley w/ a bolt WAHUSKER gave me and got the pulley pretty sucked in and went to take the bolt out and it turns hard. I got it out about 1/4" and now it is very hard coming out. Could I have stripped the crank threads?? When I put the bolt in I got it in by at least 6-8 threads.
Also to add to this there may be another problem... I decided to just leave the double timing chain and ported oil pump. I read on LS1howto.com that some underdrive pullies may have to be machined down if you put on a double chain since the oil pump will be out a bit more. My ASP pully would be no problem but I took it off so I can sell it and was installing my stock one. I guess I should just shove the ASP on and sell it w/ the car once I get this damn bolt out and figure out if I stripped it.
Look at ? #11 at the very bottom of the page about the pulley problem.

More than likely you have the bolt crossthreaded in the crank. When I was helping Eric do his cam swap the same thing happened to us. He had to send his car to a diesel shop to get the bolt removed. Then they helicoiled the crank until they got to good thread. Luckly everything for him turned out good. Good luck man.

The real key here is to never, NEVER use a bolt to suck the dampener on by the threads in the crank. If you do then sooner or later it will happen. Use a stud ( a piece of all-thread etc ) and a nut. That way if you ever start pulling threads you just un-thread the stud from the crank and go get a new piece. No fuss, no heartache.

I'd try heating it, spraying Liquid Wrench (NOT wd-40) on it & working it back & forth. If you got it screwed in 6-8 threads, it aint cross-threaded. But the threads might be galled / stripped a little. It takes a lot of tq to get that baby on.....
