94 gt v.s. cammed LS1?

94 gt v.s. cammed LS1? He's makin about 295 horse at the wheel. I put down 405 at the wheel. He said he's gonna hang with me. WHt au guys think of the outcome? We are probably gonna be racing next weekend. I'll give you the outcome, but what u guys think. His car is a 5 speed. Mine is a 6speed. I also have 373 gears.

Yeah, he just keeps saying it s gonna be a close race! He got a little *** cam. I said i'll race him for 50 bucks only. He said yes to that, but than changed his mind quickly..LOL.

I used to have a slightly lightened 94gt when I was at about 260-270rwhp I was pretty much dead even stock LS1's. EvilTA,This guy clearly can't hang with you up top, you will easily pull away if you have 400rwhp but a 94GT with 300rwhp tuned and driven properly is probably quicker than many of you think.

My 94GT had ~270rwhp and ran 13.1's, on its way to 12's and would have made a joke of your 99 Grand Am which probably ran mid to high 14's. yes, 98 and older GT's were very weak from the factory but once you start modding them its a whole different ball game. The LS1's I raced had very capable drivers and were newer cars in perfect condition. The "5.0's" you raced could have been anything. As one example, an old beat up 87 GT auto 'vert with a lot of miles and out of tune can get beat by an escort.

My buddy has a near-300 RWHP 5.0...probably similar set-up to this race...I pretty much beat everytime as long as the race lasts for longer than an 1/8. You are going to beat this guy much worse.

I don't have heads yet! But i have cam, exhaust, headers, maf, intake, MTI tune and thecar made 403rwhp. I have some goodies in it. Must have been a beast out of the factory...!

The 94 mustangs are teh first last year of the 5.0 right? dont they make 215-225 hp factory claim? That would make it easy to lose to a Grand Am GT with mods. The guy with the grand am didnt say he could ALL 94 GT mustangs. What would a 94 GT stang have to do to make 300 at the wheels and waht do they weigh? Thanks
