Default 04 Ruf TT Porsche 911

Got rolled up by Mike TexaSS's 99 FRC with me behind the wheel. We went 50 - 150 and I got a car and a half on him. Not bad for a Vette with a messed up tranny. His turbo's and exhaust were LOUD. I didn't think they got that loud.

Okay, it's still early for me, so let me try and break this down...

YOU got rolled by a 99 FRC while in an 04 RUF TT 911?
or...
YOU got rolled by a 99 FRC in the 93 'Stang in your sig?
or...
YOU rolled a 99 FRC in an 04 RUF TT 911?
or...
YOU rolled a 99 FRC in the 93 'Stang in your sig and just put the Porsche in the title??

Inquiring minds...

Bet the guy in the porsche was mad. Most of the RUF's go to speed freaks. They aint liek the ferraris where it is jsut a statment. Those things can move pretty good too. Nice kill!

5xxrwhp C5 would definitely put a hurting on an 04 911TT, I'm surpised you didn't pull even more, but I guess the "messed up tranny" was to blame...

Boba_Vett don't feel bad I didn't know what the heck he was talking about it either. He's got his hands on some damn fast cars but he's not exactly the best story teller is he, lol.

Ditto the hard to follow text of the kill . . .

The Porsche in question was not an "04 911TT" . . . RUF is an aftermarket tuning company for Porsche's.

They, RUF, make a variety of packages . . . including a 7xx rwhp late-model TT 911 that I've seen in Miami

Yeah I know RUF is an aftermarket tuner for Porsche but I guess I just assumed it was just the basic exhaust & appearance package.

should have run him past 150, cars move out real nice and are a lot of fun to drive

"The RUF conversion kit for the 996 Turbo is available for 460, 485, 520, 550 or 590 bhp engine output increases."

The car was an 04 Porsche 911 Turbo and it had the Ruf appearance package on it. I don't know for sure that the engine was modded by Ruf, but the turbo and exhaust were loud as ****. It had definately been modded by somebody.

I would've kept going past 150 but traffic was coming up quickly. The synchro's in the Vette are bad. You can't powershift any gear and it won't even let you in the gear if you go too fast. It's really crappy. I probably would've put 3 on him had the tranny not been bad.

i don't know about that. Our cars run good at higher speed but that Ruff is made to run the autobahn if I remember correctly...I would say by 155-165MPH he would have gotten.

not trying to start an argument but aren't their top speeds in the 190 range for the base models?

base turbo is governed at 189 iirc

Well...I guess if you pay that much for a car that is supposed to do 212...you want it to do 212 not 197...lol I don't know

All the ruf cars are top speed tested on the autobahn before you pick it up. They give you a little plack that says what the top speed of your car is.
