Nice job. I really like the conversion to the SLP lid. I don'r know why more people don't do that to the lt1's.

Price Tag

Car 68k LT1 A4 overal pretty clean paint needs work it's a steal.....@3800.00

Exterior conversion including all shipping cost.
1915.00

Interior Conversion including shipping cost.
$770.99

total including car $7116.08

Paint $1400 includes jams body work, door locks removed and a few other little fixers.

So far parts sold totals
$718.5 I still have the whole front clip hatch, headlights, bumpers and hood... SHould be worth atleast $500 plus shipping.

After paint $7797.58

Kelly blue book...with 78k on it $6,420 obviously doesn't account for the conversion.

I dont' have dyno numbers to compare on my lid... but I didnt' see the gains I hoped for but maybe I need a high flow filter (K&N or air hog) That should add some HP.

LT1's can't make this conversion become of hood clearance issues. I don't think the ram air hoods for the firehawk will work either...

my cousin and i are about to begin this install all we are missing is the driver side headlight, we have the motor just no light assembly, we picked it all up
2 fenders, stock hood front, support, and one light for $220...pretty good for a car that runs 9.12 in the 1/8th in stock form

You will need the bracket the the fenders and bumper meet at... Trust me go to GM and just by both of them.. on the LT1's it is one piece on the LS1's its' 2 and they do fit differnt. not much but enough you will be pissed when you can't get them to quit pinching... also the lights you will need to cut the harness to make them work.. what i did I cut the connector off my old motors and butt connected to the new light (Ls1 use one connectors for the headlights and the motor LT1 use 2) you can use your orginal hardware and 5 butt connectors each to make it "factory". Also there is a bracket (which I have not got yet) that the fender and bumper use to tighten/hold them together up top... if you get a part # please let me know.... Also one thing you should be aware of is your hood stops sit too low you will have to bend them up or remove them and replace.. (tac welded in) I bent mine and used the big hood stops from the bumper support to get my hood to fit better than a factory hood. I've noticed on alot of F-bodies hoods don't fit perfect but mine does ALso be prepared to break ****... have a few beers on hand 2 get you through...
