Why not the MS3 if it's a race only car, you'll want a bigger stall though

what stall with the ms3?
would the 3500 work for a while?
I will be changing to a trans with a t brake when my trans goes out so I don't want to change converters now.

another question. Will these cams clear my heads they will not be shaved any but I will get them cleaned up. will it still clear?

Have you called TSP (806.866.0734) to ask them these questions?

Your 3500 will work, look at my times in sig, I would say the MS3 would want a 4000 to 4400 along with 3:73 gears and look out

I say go for the MS3 too. It's not to bad with a 3,500 stall. If your staying N/A I would go 4000+ too. TSP told me that the cam will clear a ported 241 head with stock valves. You'll have to flycut with larger valves unless the pistons in your 347 has reliefs in them.

Ok thanks I think I will go with the MS3
I talked to TSP yesterday. They suggested a set of 5.3 heads and said it would work with the MS3 if my pistons are flycut.

do you guys think this is a good choice?

I was going to get work done on my heads but these would cost about the same as the work.

I called LME about the shortblock and the way I understood was that the pistons had reliefs for this heads cam package to work. If any of you guys know anything about the LME shortblock $2800 please let me know. I just don't want to buy a cam that will not fit so I thought I would double check with you guys. both LME and TSP say it will work but they seemed like they were not 100% sure because TSP didn't know anything about LMEs block and LME didn't know much about TSPs head/cam but agreed it would work.
thanks for any advice.

I know that they have valve reliefs, but I have to look what size, I can't remember off hand.
Are you getting the whole head package from them too?
If not, I would pick up the H/C and send (or take) them to LME for assembly. An extra fee of course but well worth it to get it degreed and all.

I know the 233/239 should fit with stock gaskets and unmilled heads.
