stall installed with pics
I went with a 3200 vig, 2.5 STR, pictures follow linear format.
Thanks to Jason, and Doyle for their help in this project (doing all the work, heh).

I like the convrt, but needs a tune, also did gears at the same time

Interesting pics! Just a question (I'm a nut about transmissions): is it necessary to tilt the engine to remove the tranny? Is there enough space to remove the upper bolts? Or you can just unbolt it, disconnect everything and take it down?
I guess I'll have to remove mine sooner or late for a rebuilt
thanks - Stefano

it may help to tilt the motor, or even have someone pull down on the tranny, but with some long extensions (3ft worth) and a swivel socket, you should be able to get to the top bolts. I found it's easiest to go from the rear of the tranny (as in like you're just laying down the length of the extensions on the top of the tranny so as you're ratcheting from the area of the trans output, and just straight to the bolts). I guess it's easier to say between the tranny and the floorboard. 3/8 entensions work with some *** into it

no engine tilt
when we did mine, we didn't tilt the engine, we un-hooked the y-pipe from the headers, that is about it, other than that, you can get to the top bolts to the tranny with an extension, like noted above.

Just did mine last weekend. That tranny jack sure looks helpful, I did mine by hand with the car on jack stands in my driveway. That thing is heavy and I managed to spill tranny fluid all over myself. If I ever have to do it again I will be purchasing a tranny jack.
The engine tilted just enough to get the top bolts without unmounting the engine. It did manage to pop my smooth bellow off, I was glad it didn't break my lid. I would recommend taking off the air box before letting the tranny down to get at those bolts.
