Default Fuel Rail Covers

Has anyone bought FRC's from gmpartsdirect.com, and if so how much did you pay for them. I looked today and they want ~70 bux for a set of red ones with black lettering. I wasnt sure how well these held up and if anyone had experience with these specific ones. Anyones opinions on them???

I bought a set of black one's and had the vette part filled in and painted to match my car. I love it.

You'll be hard pressed to find them cheaper anywhere else. The shipping time is a little lengthy, but if you're not in a hurry it's worth the savings. I screwed up and bought a set of black ones on ebay for $70 bucks a few years ago. I wish I'd known about that site then....

Yeah the black ones are around $38-40 and have the 2 openings for the fuel lines. The red ones only have 1.

I too would like to know the part number. Does the ls1 take the covers with the 2 openings or just 1? OR would either one work?

you'd probably have to cut them a little to fit, that's why i want em as cheap as possible.

Be prepared to do some cutting to get them to fit. I had the plain black ones but they really didn't do anything for me so I filled in the lettering and painted them to my liking.

Neither one fits...they both have to be cut.

Red covers with black lettering #12564257 and #12564258(driver and passenger side)
Black covers with red lettering #12556455 and #12559261

I believe these are the correct numbers because I checked the website last night. Im thinking about ordering pair of red ones soon. How hard is it to cut/fit them to an f-body?

I say get the black ones and paint em if you don't like the look. Either way you're going to have to mess them up a little so they fit. No reason to spend twice as much for a color.

WTF, us NC people gotta pay more? Thats crap lol.

And either way, they'll have to be trimmed a little to fit the F-cars. If you were getting them to fit a vette I dont think there would be any trimming needed, but I could be wrong.

They do fit, AFTER you cut them to fit around the parts that the F-bodies have and the Corvettes dont. The clips that hold them on all line up fine. Clearencing is all that needs to be done.
