A little closer to being finished
Well I took my wheels off and had them powder coated last week. When I got them back I was very happy with the finished product. I've been wanting to do this since I bought the wheels but I just hadn't gotten around to it till now... I had them mounted Friday and I wasn't too crazy with the look but once I cleaned the car yesterday I thought it looked great
The color is called black chrome. Joeformula suggested the color and shot the wheels for me.
I'll get some "real" pics later but for now I just snapped a few quick shots

Saweeeeeeettttt!!!!!
Looks really sweet man. How much did it cost?? Thinking of getting my smoothies done in a darker grey like that. The grey thats on em right now is too light to be called gunmetal IMO!!

how much did you pay to have your wheels done? How long did it take? I dropped mine off at the powdercoater this morning. I did mine in duplicolor gunmetal metallic and I think it would match your wheels perfect

i cant remember the exact name that the guy called it but i took him the top of the duplicolor gunmetal metallic rattle can and he had a color there that was a dead on match. So basically gunmetal metallic, i got in touch with matt at gmmg and he told me the blackbirds were painted wheels but im gettin them coated for less than i could get them painted. The guy told me about a week then when i dropped them off he said 2 but i guess i can wait. As for price...well Ill just say that i feel better after seein what you got charged

I could have had mine done for cheaper but I knew someone at the shop so I felt more comfortable taking the wheels to him... Plus I know he would do the job right. Worth the extra cash in my mind.
I painted my air lid with the color I had picked out for my back bumper but it just wasn't dark enough.. After the paint was dry it looked lighter than the top of the can. I knew the wheels on th black birds were painted but powder coating holds up so much better in the long run
