still need help with my P0300 code!
can someone please piont me in the direction to what i need to do with these atap #'s. these came up under the freeze frame:
DTC that last caused last freeze frame
P0300- engine missfire detected
fuel sustem status bank 1- CL-1
calculated engine load- 8.6%
engine coolant temp. 216 F
stft bank 1 3.9%
ltft bank 1 6.3%
stft bank 2 3.1%
ltft bank 2 -3.9%
map 9.2in HG
engine speed 2544rpm
vehicle speed 0
mass air flow rate 3.188 lb/min
throttle position angle 12.9%
linear exhaust gas recirculation feedback 3.54psi
fuel tank pressure -6.1inH20
linear exhaust gas recirculation normalized 0%
start up engine coolant temp 66%
desired idle speed 800rpm
desired linear egr position 0
barometric pressure 29.86inHg
mileage since last first fail 0miles
mileage since last last fail 0miles
fail counter 0
pass counter 0
no results counter 0
app average 0
app indicated angle 0%
throttle postion desired angle 0%
transmission output shaft speed 0rpm
current gear 1
also while loggin i noticed egr postion was -100%
thanks

I dont see a cam in your sig. Often times the misfire tables are not adjusted enough for the cams. Anyway, 98's have a history with hyper sensitive KR Sensors. There have been remedies by replacing with new sensors from 00-02. If it is a one time deal, clear the code and see if you can set it again, and determine the circumstances. Too low of octane? Too much advance? Too lean of an AFR?

ive cleard the code once and the car ran fine for 2 miles then it came back. 1st i got a hestitation then the car instatly lost power( no response to throttle) and threw the same code. then it ran bad for a 1 mile then ran good til i got home which was only anothermile or two. i use 91 actane in cali.as far as advance and a/f earleir in the year i had the car tuned for being to lean and that was fixed so i wouldnt know if the car would run lean agian.wwhen the code came back the reading on my freinds scanner was same p0300 code and for some reason it said open loop/ 51mph/ and i was about 2k rpm. which the readings i got above are close with the rpm so it seems i getting the code when above 2k. im going to be doing compression check this week and it that test fine i pull the valve cover on bank 1 and check pushrods.
things i have replaced are plugs and front 02's. car seems to miss-fire the most on cylinders 1 and 5.

you need to have a scannerto tell which cylinder it is. you might wanna replace that wire. ive replace my front o2's and plugs and wires still same problem here. it goes to dealership tommorrow

I just read that in HP Tuners the code P0301 would be misfire cylinder 1, P0302 cylinder 2, etc. P0300 is multiple cylinder misfire. Kinda makes me think it is not 1 or 2 plugs/plugwires .

k i took the car to the dealership and they said there is a open circuit causing the injectors on bank one to lose power cuasing the p0300 code. the car is running good right now and the tech said he was just testing the wires then all of a sudden the car started to run good. he then couldnt get it to act up agian. so he said they could hook up a seperate power to the injectors on bank 1 for $315 3hrs labor. he tested everything else all is good. just the power to injectors is ****ing up.
