I dont see a cam in your sig. Often times the misfire tables are not adjusted enough for the cams. Anyway, 98's have a history with hyper sensitive KR Sensors. There have been remedies by replacing with new sensors from 00-02. If it is a one time deal, clear the code and see if you can set it again, and determine the circumstances. Too low of octane? Too much advance? Too lean of an AFR?

ive cleard the code once and the car ran fine for 2 miles then it came back. 1st i got a hestitation then the car instatly lost power( no response to throttle) and threw the same code. then it ran bad for a 1 mile then ran good til i got home which was only anothermile or two. i use 91 actane in cali.as far as advance and a/f earleir in the year i had the car tuned for being to lean and that was fixed so i wouldnt know if the car would run lean agian.wwhen the code came back the reading on my freinds scanner was same p0300 code and for some reason it said open loop/ 51mph/ and i was about 2k rpm. which the readings i got above are close with the rpm so it seems i getting the code when above 2k. im going to be doing compression check this week and it that test fine i pull the valve cover on bank 1 and check pushrods.

things i have replaced are plugs and front 02's. car seems to miss-fire the most on cylinders 1 and 5.

I am having the same code after header/exhaust install. Might be plug wires since I had to repare terminals on 3, but how do I tell which cylinders are misfiring?

I just read that in HP Tuners the code P0301 would be misfire cylinder 1, P0302 cylinder 2, etc. P0300 is multiple cylinder misfire. Kinda makes me think it is not 1 or 2 plugs/plugwires .

k i took the car to the dealership and they said there is a open circuit causing the injectors on bank one to lose power cuasing the p0300 code. the car is running good right now and the tech said he was just testing the wires then all of a sudden the car started to run good. he then couldnt get it to act up agian. so he said they could hook up a seperate power to the injectors on bank 1 for $315 3hrs labor. he tested everything else all is good. just the power to injectors is ****ing up.

Ugh. That sucks. I will be ordering some plug wires tomorrow. None of the stores around here have nice universal plug wires.
I hope this solves my problem.
