Default finally made a few passes with the transbrake and fuddle converter

we went to Knoxville dragway last friday night and made a few shakedown passes. this is basicly a whole new combo to me.

first pass was a 3800 hit off the transbrake. the car left hard, but felt like it broke loose a couple of feet out. so I pedaled it and ran a 6.97 @ 104. with a 1.82 60 ft.

second pass...we backed the 2-step down to 3500. same results. car left hard and felt like it broke loose a couple of feet out. pedaled it again. something felt amiss though. ran 7.15 @ 99 with a 1.70 60. when I popped the hood, the number 2 plug wire was off the coil.

third pass...kp told me that it wasn't spinning. that his video showed it dead hooking. he said keep it on the floorboard. followed his advice and ran a 6.79 @ 108 mph. 1.62 60ft. Kevin leaned the tune out a little.

forth pass...bumped the 2-step back up to 3800. left the line off the transbrake with 7psi and went 6.54 @ 102 no 60 ft printed on the slip. good et, but low mph. upon inspection, we found that one of my home depot couplers had partially blown off the maf and was gapping open under boost.

fifth and final pass...same 3800 hit off the 2-step and brake. pass felt good untill top of second and the car nosed over a little bit. 6.48 @ 107 mph with a 1.48 60ft. the track was starting to go away. it wouldn't stand a harder launch. popped the hood and found the coupler partially blown off again. we decided to call it a night.

my 4500 fuddle performed flawlessly. it seemed to really like the transbrake launches. a little more vht and I think we would have been able to crank the launch rpm on up and really get those 60fts down there. when the weather cools off, we are going to try it at bowling green. a 4500-4800 hit off the brake should make for a better sig pic.

Awesome to hear.

Thank God I already ordered my Fuddle. If not, I'd be going nuts by now.

nice runs.

What shift extension are you seeing?

Do you plan to lock it up in 3rd on a 1/4 mile track?
