I think most replacement y-pipes are 3 inches. Most aftermarket catbacks are also 3 inch I believe. If you got a 3 inch ypipe, and 2.5 inch exhaust past that, you could get an exhaust shop to flare the i-pipe or weld in a flare.

iv seen mac makes a header system that i believe is a 2.5" outlet on the y-pipe, but its a mid length header not long. Should i just go ahead and get lt?

Support Texas businesses, and get the Pacesetter LT and catted y from TSP

Do you already have a catback system?

I think you'll be fine dude. Pretty much every y-pipe I've seen is 3 inch, and you never hear about anyone having to replace their i-pipe.
