Default hmmm problem, help me out please :)

i don't know if this is the right forum to do this in, but there are so many, this at least has to do with engines.

anywho, sometimes when getting on my car, especially if i stomp it in the bottom of second, the car will fill like it sits on its ***, and when it hits about 2500 rpm's i think, it gets up and goes. you can actually FEEL the car get off its ***. i hate to use this comparisson, but it feels like vtec is kicking in. hate to use that analogy, but thats what it feels like...

any ideas as to what the problem may be??

i have long tubes and TD's on the car, wires, NGK TR55's (i thought it may have been the plugs and wires cuz it did it before the aftermarket ones, but no improvement) and a lid

Has it always done this, or did happen after adding on of the mods?

What size are the Headers/TDs? Too big of an exhaust and you could lose a little torque down at the lower RPMs.

When I had my IROC, I before I went with the 383, I put in a ZZZ crate motor and went 1 3/4 Hooker LTs and 3" duals at the advise of some guys who I thougt knew there stuff. It had that Ramming effect at around 2500-3000 RPM.

I switched over to Edelbrock TES and Banks Cat back (against the advise of those same guys) and my rpm rangefelt better down lower. Bigger isn't always better, especially if the rest of the system isn't matched.

Now, if this problems just suddenly appeared, then I'd start looking into possible problems.

Is it only in second, because thats about the RPM where it starts to make power. How is it taking off in First?
