Can I combine my STS with electric cutouts?
An idea just hit me. Can I install an electric cutout system on my car with the STS kit? If I were to install it, I could switch to N/A mode while they're open and back to FI mode when they're closed. It would be a really good idea if you want to give your car a rest from boost. The car may sound mean, but at least the turbo can get a rest? Is this possible or am I totally confused about the whole situation?

Yeah you guys are right. I'm usually in vacuum under daily driving conditions. That's what I love about this kit. Oh, and turbo's don't get tired, lol. I was just saying that to help prove my point.

Like the others said, putting a cutout before your turbo will keep you from producing boost since the turbo will effectively be unpowered. Secondly, the cutout would likely leak due to the much increased heat and pressure before the turbo.
Also, there is no reason to run a cutout after the turbo since the turbo effectively muffles the exhaust itself. Youll never get that loud sound back.

Besides all those reasons, good luck getting any of the leaky electric cutouts to seal good enough to hold boost when they're closed...
