Ford guy with Ls1 dentonation issues, please help.
My wifes 01' (A4) was on the dyno a few weeks ago and the only thing it has is a TSP lid and Grantelli meter, everything else is stock. Well the a/f was a flatline 13:1 but I noticed like above 4500rpms or so I can hear a slight pinging. What can I do to stop this. I'm sure it's robbing some hp because of it. I thinking timing. Anyone? Thanks. -Mark

How positive are you it was detonation? Hook up a scan tool like autotap or any other type of reader to make sure you are getting ineeded getting knock. Just switch back to the stock MAF either way. My car came with a Granateli MAF, and it went bad, so I replaced with it with another Granateli. I saw the way and changed it to a stock one a couple of weeks later.
