I'm going to pick one up to. My bolt on car almost threw the belt last week. I heard it squeeking and popped the hood to find the belt half off. It's only happened once, but I'm going to buy the tensioner anyway.

Still have no idea what caused it on a stock car...

Ordering mine today. Threw belt over the weekend and ruined belt. Hopefully a Katech will fix this problem.

Yeah, that's what keeps me from getting one. My idler is wobbling a little, and I just want to replace it all in one fell swoop.

I just pull mine till it's snug. Since it's a serpentine belt, it doesn't need to be very tight.

I wish. the only way I have found the tensioner pulley is with the complete GM tensioner. You might look after market though, maybe Autozone. I thought I talked to a customer that got one from them.
