which is faster 97-02 ls1 I a wondering which ls1 is really faster the 97-02s f-bodys only I have a 98 t/a not a ws6 bone stock I somked my uncles 97 ss my buddys 99 ta another 00 ws6 so I was wondering what was up with certain model years and why are some ta's quicker then ws6's and ss's this should be a good topic

This is not a good topic because this is a simple question thats been asked to many times before.
If you checked out the stickies at the top you could answer your own question.
Since you asked already: 93-97 had LT1 motors rated at 275 hp. 98-02 had LS1 motors. The 98-00's are slightly less powerful than the 01 and 02's because the later models received an LS6 intake.

97 ls1 is a vette my fault but my biggest wonder is why everyone thinks because you do little suspension and ram air and slap a ws.6 badge on it why they always think because it is a ws.6 it is faster I know that gm says 305 t/a 320 ws.6 were talking hp here well that 15 horse with those big tires dont seem to hold up my question is which is faster trans am or the ws.6 option

buddy your not that far from me you let me know when you want to read my plate when I pass you in race bring that bad boy out well see who is 16 I have about the same mods lets run em

I talked with a guy the other day and he said " Dude, nice SS, Thats got the corvette motor it it. You can smoke any Z out there. All they have is a shitty 305ci. I just laughed and told him to check this site out. People will believe anything you tell them. Jus a thought

the fastest Fbody car is the 99 Formula WS6 with 6spd. No power anything no leather and maybe no air depending. 13.10 in the 1/4. I havent read into if GM went away from the formula having no power anything in 00-02 models. but none the less a base model formula with the ws6 slp package is the fastest.
