What else can I do?

What else can I do?
Hey all, ok here is what my goal for my car is. First off, mods and car are in sig. It is an M6. My GOAL for this car is a very fast "stock-like" car with little to zero durability/reliability issues. My mods so far support that (magnaflow=quiet, yet powerful). In the future, I plan to put in the GM Hotcam (I know, I know, there are much better cams) but I want the .525 lift so that I never have to change the springs again. I also am planning on doing a 9" at some point with 4.10 gears. I want this to be a budget buildup with the above goals in mind. Now that that is said, is there anything else that I can do? I want to avoid nitrous also, just dont like it. If there isn't then dont be afraid to say. My goal is like I said to have a badass street performer with VERY occasional track use that is 99.9% sure that I won't have any reliability issues. THANKS!
PS: Would the CHeatr cam be more reliable or more powerful over the Hotcam? I want EASY valvetrain life.

Comp 918 springs cost $170. It can take lift up to .600 and last for 50,000 miles. Get those and don't worry about a bigger sized cam. If you're going through the expense and hassle of a ca, get one that you won't out grow in 3 months. Forget the Hotcam! I had a 220/224-114 cam first and it was lame after one month. Get a 228/232 on a 114 and you'll LOVE the drivability and power.

Pulley for sure. On the cam, I'd get with a cam manufacturer or speed shop (like Futral or Thunder Racing) and work with them on getting a cam perfect for your application (how much driveability do you want, how much power, how much lope, etc). Comp 918 springs would be ideal and they would last for a long time with a small .550-.570 lift cam. Depending on your lope and power desires duration can be adjusted to get what you want. I think that would make you much happier than the hotcam.

i recommend you go with comp 921 valve springs they are good up to .650 lift and are around the same price as the 918 kit. just as well you could run a TR224 cam or larger with no problems. also reccomend you get some hardened pushrods 7.400" in length with a higher ramp rate cam you will bend stockers like a paper clip.
