What do STOCK LS1's dyno and run in the quarter?
I'm having a gay little argument with someone jackass on another board who know's absolutely NOTHING about cars, yet he sits in front of his comp and insists that LS1's dyno under 260rwhp stock and run low-mid 14's.
I'm going to link this thread to that other board. So, all you who actually KNOW a thing or 2 about LS1's, what do they dyno and run in the 1/4 stock?

They've been high 12s stock, and dyno anywhere from 290-320 bone stock depending on year and transmission.
That guy is indeed a jackass, and if you care to link the thread, I'm sure a few of us would like to chime in.
I'll be the first to assume that he has a car that is slower than most stock LS1s.

as far as I know a stock LS1 has NEVER dynoed less than 280, and that's on the extreme low end. Quarters are generally low 13s, high 12s with a badass driver. Tell your friend to drive one already and shut up.

Well for a fact my buddy has a 01 6speed Z, 298 RWHP and 314 TQ it also ran a 12.97 @ 107MPH, Thats down to the stock air filter. BONE stock all he had on when he raced were drag radials. The 00+ make a little more power then 98 & 99 b/c of the ls6 intake manifold and the exhaust manifolds flow much better. My 99 A4 went a 13.4 @ 103 at a shitty track with a lid and catback. Its not been on the dyno yet. I think its safe to say your buddy is full of **** I have never seen a LS1 with those stats, Maybe a LT1 but even then that seems off.

stop argueing with dumbfucks . dont bother linking to this thread, we dont want any potential board drama. the info is out there for the dude to educate himself on ls1's and there potential. its his perogative to ignore it and get smoked by a stock "260rwhp" genIII.

I'd assume he's thinking of a LT1. I hope anyway.
My 2000 SS bone stock made 303rwhp and 319rwtq. It went 13.5 @ 106. This was 100% stock down to the paper filter.
And why'd you post this in here, the Camaro forum, and the Firebird forum?

13.5 at 105 here. stock ls1's tend to run anywhere from high 12's to high 13's. most are mid 13s. a4 cars tend to dyno 280 to 300 rwhp, M6s tend to be 290 to 310 on average. mine put down 287 rwhp/325 tq through my stall and was pretty much stock.

The source of that article is what's ironic... it came out of Muscle Mustangs/Fast Fords magazine. The new Mach 1 was supposed to be the sh#t, and it was half a second slower than the SS...
