00ws6 v.s 03Mach 1
I am racing my friends mach 1 soon he has full exaust, intake spacer, both k&n intakes,3.55gears and eibach lowering springs. Also steeda lower controll arms. I have full exaust and Ls2 throttle body,85mm mass air flow, ls6intake, and K&N fipk. Also with a set of 315/35/17 drag radials in the back. he has a pair to but they are pretty bald. Basically my question is where should i run him from or no matter the cercumstance i should beat him? Should i go from a roll and if so around which rpms because i know LS1s pull harder uptop plus he has a higher gear ratio than me. Or should i just go from a dig? what do u guys think???

You'll beat him...from a dig or a roll...especially with the drag radials. Just make sure you beep off the race...ya know, "on the 3rd beep, punch it." With steeper gears, they can be pretty mean off the line if they get good traction, but with the upgrades you have, I wouldn't worry about it. Let us all know how it turns out.

I wouldn't say a carbon copy. I'm no mach1 expert, but these are some of
the ways a mach1 differs from an 01 Cobra that I'm aware of:
1-Heads
2-Intake
3-Cams
4-Compression Ratio
5-Gears(3.55's)
6-Solid Rear Axle

I don't know which is worse:
1: You sounding like a complete TOOL.
or
2: That you're shouting at the top of your lungs (while sounding like a complete tool... )

'03/'04 Mach 1 4V makes more low-end torque, more peak torque & a little more rwhp than the '01 4V.
Both cars when stock:
My dyno was about average BTW - some completely stock '03/'04 Mach's have put down over 290 rwhp & 320 rwtq. I've never heard of a '99/'01 Cobra make that kind of rwhp/rwtq (especially rwtq) when stock.

I guess it's all relative. I wouldn't consider these two cars basically the same in any sense. They are the same only because they have a Ford 4v 4.6l motor. Other than that, almost everything is different. They have a different block(iron vs. aluminum), heads, cams, intake, suspension, gears, rear end, power band, etc., etc. The cars weren't even designed for the same purpose, and that's why almost everything about them is different. You can't say because they have 4.6l motors and make "close" to the same power #'s that they are the same. In reality, they are actually almost nothing alike. If you subtract all the differences between the two cars, you are left with almost no similarities. They both have 4v heads...... period.
