Ground Zero's new turbo kit in the works
We just wanted to let everyone know we are working on a pretty slick new turbo kit. This time no pipes will be ran under the K-member, and cooling fans stay in stock position. AC can be kept as well. Price is still up in the air but I would think base kit will be around $3800 and intercooled will be around $4500. Both setups will be complete with everything you'll need to install. We'll even run the exhaust all the way back to the catback like our last kit.
We also just got our company/race Camaro which our new turbo kit will be tested on. We'll probably run it anywhere from 7-10psi. So for anyone crazy about numbers, stay tuned.

It is a single turbo kit. Base kit will come with a Precision PT70 which is rated at 780hp I believe. Though this kit is targeted towards street cars, I see no reason this kit isn't capable of 1000+hp.

Cool, will exchanges be in order for those us with kits with pipes under the k member? I'll be glad to swap out my road rashed pipes for a new set, tell us when and where.
Hellraiser, sellzo6, 99ss-t you see this?
chances of this happening, slim to none, but hey its worth a shot

The kit will be log style manifold. And really, that's the only way to get a clean system in a cramped engine bay. We will most likely show pictures of the kit next week. Actually going into production is another thing. This is still up in the air but of course, we'll be letting all you guys know

i hear due to excessive backpressure you wont be good for more then 600 rwhp. are they larger in diameter?
Thanks.

Ah back to the good ol log. Very cool that you guys are making a new kit over the K-member! Will you still be producing the "budget" kit or is that going the way of the dinosour? I take it the kit will be similar to TTi's with a drivers side log and stock passanger side header? Relocated the alternator but thats it?

If anyone is going to make another log then lets take the next step a do a cast log manifold. These stainless tigged TTI style manifolds arent holding up well enough. And if you make one that is along the same dimensions as the TTI log you can sell a bunch of them to us TTi guys too so we can swap out. Its less machine work than it takes to cut & bend tube and weld one up and you could get a cheap mill, fab a few fixtures and do it yourself. you could cut 50 pcs in 10 hours in about 3 set ups not counting drill and tap the flange which could be done on the bench with a simple drill fixture and drill press.
