Default T/A is on the road...again...finally...

Well, after tranny started whining, tore it down and found it'd prolly be cheaper to buy a new one than rebuild the old one...so after some searching, found a dude selling one in NY. Bought it, he didn't ship it till a week after he said he was gonna, but I eventually got it. Put it in the car, all bolted up, bolted the shifter in, and darn thing wouldn't shift. So I pulled it back out, took it to Ellis, found it was broken during assembly, a brand new transmission. So talked to dude I got it from, he's gonna send me what it cost me to fix it, made a few phone calls, ordered some parts, and with the expertise of Ellis, we got it together, and I got it back on the road today. Hopefully I can go out and make a few passes before the year is done. Anyhoo, I'm happy just to be driving it again. See y'all around,

Brian

Did you upgrade anything while you were in there like syncos or other things to make it live longer with that kind of power?

They did that for me a couple trips back. the guy running the lights could see I was having a hella of time hooking up, so i do burn out and he waves me done from staging, sprays some VHT and then lines me up. I cut my best 60'er of the day and also ET. That was really nice of him.

I see you have your boost up a bit from your #2 spot run. Do you have a roll bar? What about the trans, is a built one.

Depending on traction/track prep, I am jetting up a bit and going for 10's, probably after a few runs, to gauge track, and don't want to get the boot to soon.

Brains car is legal to run 10.ohs. Full scatter shield and all. The trans has evey thing you can toss in it including the Viper Main shaft

The 23rd is good for me and I can tape the T/A and the H2. If there is no track prep I may not run. Trying to get into the 12.4-5's, but I've been to Bremerton 3 Fridays now and all they did was sweep the track off. The H2 on nitrous woo hooooo. Damn, now 10lbs boost.....you guys are too hardcore for me.
